The girl on the curve - Horror Stories
The girl on the curve
There are different versions, but all of them have a common denominator: a young woman in a white dress. Legend has it that a family father returned home from work on the road to the Costas del Garraf. It was a rainy night, the cold fogged the windshield and fatigue pushed his eyelids down. As he moved along the road, the drops hit the glass of his car more violently, losing stability in the serpentine asphalt layout.
The man sharpened the senses and slowed down. At the same moment, the headlights of the vehicle illuminated the figure of a girl who, drenched by the rain, was waiting motionless for a driver to take pity on her and take her to her destination. Without hesitation or even a moment, he stopped short and invited her to go up. She accepted immediately, and as she sat in the passenger seat, the driver noticed her clothes. She wore a white dress of wrinkled cotton and stained with mud. For his matted hair, it seemed that he had been waiting for a while.
Resumed the trip and began a relaxed conversation in which the girl dodged several times the story of how he had come to that place. Until the right moment arrived. With a cold, cutting voice, he asked her to slow down until she almost stopped the vehicle. "It's a very tight curve," he warned. The man followed his advice and, when he saw how dangerous it could have been, thanked him. She, with a sharp and cold voice, snapped: "Do not thank me, it's my mission. In that corner I killed myself more than 25 years ago. It was a night like this. "A chill ran down the man's back and ruffled his skin. When he turned his gaze to the copilot, the young woman was gone. The seat, however, remained damp.
This scene has been repeated in other places in Spain, such as in Mallorca or Bàscara (Girona).
