“I resent your mother for taking drugs when she was pregnant!”
Yes Sir! Got us another movie from the makers of the Witchboard series!
Though not directly connected, one would think that with 2 returning actors (Lloyd and Malfador from Witchboard) at the very least this would be within the same Metaverse as Witchboard and Night of the Demons.
Oh yeah, Kevin Tenney made that series too.
Metaverses aren’t new, they’ve just been successfully commercialized for pleb consumption, just say no to Disney and the MCU and SW, and all that shit. It’s not worth your time.
This barn burner of a film finds the guy who played Lloyd from Witchboard, as a detective hired to protect some paranormal investigators as they attempt to cleanse a warlock’s spirit from a mansion.
This is a low budget operation here. They have a spirit vacuum that looks like a dressed-up, old school polaroid camera.
Lloyd looks like he’s aged 30 years since he was in Witchboard.
See?
Some unintentional comedy here. The main paranormal investigator Agnes sounds like what Mark Zuckerberg looks like. Monotone and forced. Every scene she’s in is brought down by her interpretation of dialogue.
Her husband Felix is pretty cool, massive cuckery in the face of danger.
“Well dear, the man does carry a gun!”
Final Word –
MRHELLBOX – The trip down Kevin Tenney’s works has been purely coincidental so far. This is a real close 2nd in terms of enjoyability when compared to Witchboard. It may not be a sequel, but it definitely feels like it belongs in the same universe. – 3/5
DRUNKEN MASTER – That ghost did a tip toe in my Jordans routine…you’ll know it when you see it. – 3/5
PRINCE PECTORALS – Elwyn could pass for a sophisticated Godwin from WWF – Go get em country boy! – 3/5
