“There’s something about this place. Your servants must have sensed it when they walked out on you. An apprehension of disaster.”
The Price Man gets put in a situation where he has to keep his head on a swivel, protecting his own ass while trying to hunt down a missing million dollars.
This literally is survivor, and the way you get voted off is to get iced by the serial murderer known as “The Bat”
Yeah, doesn’t look too scary, but you’d shit lava cakes if you met him in a dimly lit room.
You need to see this film to discover who actually gets the money, and who lives or dies; worth your time investment.
I dare say, no I double dog dare say that Vincent Price’s performance is more entertaining than the story here.
In contrast to the House on Haunted Hill where the focus was to sell a movie theater experience, the plot of The Bat is far superior and doesn’t need to rely on such theatrics (no pun intended).
So, it’s not a knock to say that Vincent Price shines thru more so than the mystery presented, it’s just hard to top the Price Man.
FINAL WORD –
MRHELLBOX – Solid Classic and you can’t go wrong with the Price Man. I think we would have found that money day 1 tho. – 4/5
DRUNKEN MASTER – Aint no immunity idols on this bitch! You fuck up you get your throat slit. – 3/5
PRINCE PECTORALS – Buncha bullshit! Just upset how this film ended, makes sense, but just like real life survivor, the person you want to win the million doesn’t get it. – 3/5
