"FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE GAME" FINALLY HAS A RELEASE DATE
This year has been hell on many of us Jason Voorhees fans. What started as 2017 being the year Jason comes home to the big screen again became one major disappointment with Paramount after they cancelled production on the new Friday the 13th film. I am not sure what the thinking at Paramount was to believe Jason wouldn't produce profits but that was their decision which has erupted in a lot of pissed off horror fans, a crowd you shouldn't piss off..lol.
So sadly the big screen Jason will be sitting at the bottom of the lake for quite some time as it appears. The good news though, Gun Media and IllFonic are still bringing us Friday The 13th: The Game, which they have tirelessly worked on for years to give the horror community. Best part yet, they announced today that it will hit XBOX/PS4/and STEAM on for their offical May 26, 2017 release date....only weeks left for us to wait.
"Friday the 13th: The Game is a third-person horror, survival game where players take on the role of a teen counselor, or for the first time ever, Jason Voorhees."
The Friday The 13th: The Game's original release date was pushed back to add fan-requested features. The developers in this really took a huge account of the fanbase throughout the process which has me personally believing this game won't let us down.
The new features fans wanted are included, we now have an edition of a single-player experience (although, according to Polygon, this won’t make it in time for launch and it’s scheduled to be released this summer); artificial intelligence (AI) bots; Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, A New Beginning and Jason Lives' Tommy Jarvis as a playable character and a playable game map of setting Crystal Lake's Packanack Lodge.

Kane Hodder, who portrayed Jason in Part VII, Part VIII, Jason Goes to Hell, and Jason X, reprised Jason via motion capture and also coordinated the stunts for the game. Thom Mathews, who portrayed Tommy Jarvis in Part VI, also reprises his role in the series. And if all that wasn't enough? Harry Manfredini, who created the soundtrack for the original film, will compose the soundtrack for the video game.
Don't know about you but I must have this game in my life. I tested the beta actually through a friend and must tell you this is going to be a very wicked, overly brutal and graphic video game depiction of one of my personal all time favorite horror series.

Awesome, glad I got it out there that this was coming out to someone that didn't hear about it yet. Its been kind of an underground game...started off with a Kickstarter as a Friday the 13th like game but got so good the original Frday the 13th film-makers gave them a go ahead to make this as an official Jason game. So they have been at it a few years now trying to do it justice, I have been following it since the early days and trust me this has come a long way. Glad you got the info from my post, I don't know about you but I will be right there on release day with my Steam account lol.
