THE HOPE CENTER CAMEROON: 5DAYS WORKSHOP ON SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH RIGHTS

The Hope Center Cameroon which was founded by none Mme YENSI HELEN came up with the initiative of creating a workshop to empower young girls and boys about Sexual And Reproductive Health and Right. It is a 5 days training workshop which is very interactive.

Today being day 1, the youths were taught on Life skills which was lead by Mme Quinta Simbo, Reproductive organs, puberty and body changes lead by Mme Lukong Christelle, Menstruation and Pregnancy by Mme Quinta Simbo and lastly Sexuality And Reproductive Health by Mme Mary Gije Jitzi.

The topic on LIFE SKILLS was really enriching.
We were taught that the WHO defines Life skills as << the abilities for adaptive and positive behavior>>. While UNICEF defines it as <<a behavioural change or behaviour development approach designed to address knowledge, attitude and skills>>.

This is just a tip of what was taught on the day 1 of the seminar.
Other topics like Menstruation, Pregnancy, puberty, reproductive health, e.t.c were well covered. After which the children were given refreshments and made to feel vert comfortable
