Yeah, it really is super easy to make. You can make them however big you need it to be, by the window size you use for the top!

Depends on how hot it is. Usually a good full day in August, its ready to go.

When the juice seeps through to the bottom how do you clean it?
Can you leave it outside year round?
Do you keep it propped open when used as a dehydrator?

We have used it for tomatoes, peppers, and onions. Haven't done fruit with it.
We do leave it outside year round.
All the venting is on the bottom, so usually do not leave it open. If the temps get really high you can leave it slightly vented.

It looks fairly simple. I think we could make one but our fruit trees are full this year so I would try it for peaches and cherries.
Hey, when did you all come here? Just found you and am following :) Nice set up, easy and frugal, just the way I like it, I may need to do this because my two electric ones plugged into solar power are not keeping up with my dehydrating needs
We recently just started this account. Still trying to learn how to use it properly.
This has worked so well for us. We do not have AC in the house, so anything we can do to keep the heat outside we try to do.
