Amazing!! I remember the first time I plant my so called lemon tree, boom! It grew and became boongon! ( pomelo ) lol.

Hahaha, no wonder it's so called. How did it become a pomelo?

We bought that little plant from a local market believing it was a lemon, lol.

Lesson Learned : Always plant from seeds, haha.

But remember, planting from seeds is not all that easy. The patience it takes from sprouting to taking care into a seedling.. into a full blown plant - anything can that happen in those periods :) but a wonderful experience nonetheless. Most especially when you successfully grow it.

Nice!!! Give calamansi pls. Hahaha

Let's plant pechay instead since you're still working on your lettuce garden.

Hmmm, I think I can try pechay, maybe I'll give it a shot next time. :)

Pechay + squash = More Nilaga :). Papaya fruit pls

Slowly but surely, we should be able to make that happen. You supply the pork! Hahahah

Such inspiring work! I hope I am able to see similar success when I start my farm/homestead! Thank you for the post @shote.said!

I wish you good luck, more luck than I did when I first started. I am glad you enjoyed this. Please do follow me around if you like to check out my other posts too. @purefood

Absolutely @shote.said, definitely looking forward to your future posts!

I wonder what happened with your lettuce. Too much water? Too little water? I literally grow it in an old roasting pan sitting in the window even when there is snow on the ground. Just an inch of dirt in the bottom cause I'm growing them for baby leaves. I have never transplanted lettuce, but you might could do it.

Since lettuce likes a cooler environment, that might be the reason why it has been having difficulty growing here. 25 to 35++ celcius is how hot we get on a normal day. If only I could sprout them easily, I could have ventured into aquaponics by now.

Well, it gets at least that how here during the summer and I still them in the window or on the back porch. I use a pan similar to this one. but I buy them at the dollar store, 2 for $1, lol. Poke little holes in one. set a few bottle caps or something in the bottom of the other to hold the one with the holes up to let it drain if you accidentally over water. To keep it cooler, you might try laying a damp towel over the top of the pan until they sprout and start growing. Just take the towel off once or twice a day so they can get some light. The evaporation might be enough to keep them cooler. I pull them when they get 3 to 4 inches high. Pull them up roots and all, wash them and eat them. Only problem I ever had was keeping the cats out of them. I had to get a converter for the temp, but we stay in the high 80 and 90's all summer longer. (27 to 37 Celsius), so it should work for you. Oh and just sprinkle the seeds on top. Don't try to plant them in the dirt. They are too tiny. Hope it helps!

So seeds on top, not covered with dirt right? We have containers where I poked holes on.. similar to the black container up top..

yes, try it that way and see if it helps. Just keep it moderately moist. You don't want them sitting in water. I use a spray bottle and mist them 2 or 3 times a day till they start spouting. Once they are an inch or two high, they can be sprinkled with water. A few days after that I am eating them. It doesn't take long to reach baby greens height.

Thank you @sotall, i will definitely give this a shot. I still have lettuce seeds sitting in their packets for a long while. I'll write about it soon and make sure to tag you along :)

Thank you very much too. This was a very enjoyable conversation.

Same here, this is what steemit is all about.

Inspiring. I need to try this at home. Thanks for sharing!
