Potatoes are Growing
It has been over a month since planted the Yukon Gold potatoes. I was getting worried since we have had 9 inches of rain during this time! Despite the challenges they are coming through the straw. Not sure if this new method will deliver a great yield but at least they are alive and growing!
We will keep you posted as they continue to grow this season.
Hoping to get some potatoes started in the next week or two...that is if it would quit snowing!!!!
Just put them in under the snow...now that would be some interesting planting! Warm weather will be here soon, may be we can have temperatures below normal this summer!!
Good to see the potatoes are green. I have been procrastinating and want to grow potatoes here in zone 7. Do you think it's too late for this season?
I think will be ok but you may deal with more potato bugs the later you plant. I would love to hear how they grow at a kater date.
