I enjoyed reading this post @senorcoconut. Thank you for keeping the conversation flowing about homesteading and why we do what we do. Its a complex subject and so many important reasons why we at least attempt to opt out of the mainstream consumerism madness as you so aptly put it. By nature we humans are consumers, but we have a choice how we consume. The more informed we are the more choices we have.
