Old barns

This barn was built in 1920 so i was excited to be asked to tear it down. It is 98 years old and some of the wood was nice. Iam new to barn wood and thought you could make money fast.

The problem with this is the boards were put on with pallet nails. So getting them off with out them breaking was very hard and not worth the time. Most were short and most buyers want four foot or longer. I did get some off.

With the small scrap i decited to make bird houses. This one i need to cut hole in front better but got holesaw now so will be doing it today. All wood, tin, and hinge from old barn. The hardest part of builing this is iam use to everything being square but its not. I could cut to square it but then you lose some of the look of it. I thought about selling some. What do you all think? Iam thinking milking stands would be really cool. Thanks guys just sharing what we do on the homestead.

Yes hole is to small now ill cut it bigger now i have a holesaw set. Thank you for the support.

You are welcome,

Cool barn! You're going to get a lot of wood from that. There's a guy in Mtn. View that does it and he makes a shitton of money. I don't know where he sells it though. Thanks for sharing! Did you find any cool artifacts in there?

I know who the guy in mountain view lol. Unless you take it out of state theres really not much money in it. I can make more building stuff out of it. The guy only pays .80 a borad foot. So you have to have alot. Thanks for the support.
