Big Bad Hogs
We are raising six hogs this year on our homestead. Last year we raised two hogs and enjoyed it so much that we decided to triple our fun and raise six this year, selling the extra hogs to friends and family once the hogs are ready for butchering. One of our favorite things to do is listen to them eat. Don't laugh, take a listen and see if you agree:
Hogs are intelligent, entertaining animals. They will roll over on their back and let you pet them like a puppy. They'll follow you around and "talk" to you with deep grunting sounds. They also like to play if you give them the opportunity -- or they'll make their own opportunity as I discovered this morning in these videos:
Our wonderful hogs are busy turning pasture, forest, and organic feed into the highest quality pork you can get. We're proud of the meat we're raising here. We call it small-batch farming. And we're having fun doing it!
They seem so sweet and beautiful! Animals are so heart pure, you're very kind to raise this littles hogs! And they seem so grateful!
