Dreaming of Spring

It is COLD here! The last few weeks have been either below zero or in the single digits. Today it almost got up to 30 degrees which made me long for spring. Of course getting seed catalogs in the mail doesn't help much.

I went out to the greenhouse to take a look around and start dreaming about what I could plant in a month or so...

This picture was taken a little earlier this winter before the snow fell.

This coming year, we plan to downsize some because 2 of our 3 children are out of the house now. We plan on moving all of our outdoor garden beds to inside the greenhouse where we will get a longer growing season.

We also plan on growing more vertical and easing some of the back breaking weeding and care.

We always plant too many tomatoes so this coming year we may only have about 5 tomato plants but add more peppers.

Early in the season, we always like peas, so we will start those early.
