It taste great! I harvested Gooseberries and made Gooseberry and Mint cordial.

It has been one of the busiest months on the allotment with everything growing energetically, the whole plot is instantly demanding attention. It’s also the month that insects, birds, slugs and snails are on the attack.

Just like plants, weeds put on a growing spurt in June so the hoe has become a good friend. I have had my friends helping out on the plot this month and it’s been great to have an extra pair of hands. There has been plenty of planting and sowing going on.

We have also been harvesting this month with the first New Potatoes looking good.

I harvested Gooseberries and made Gooseberry and Mint cordial. It tastes great!! I will definitely be making more. I already have the Gooseberries picked.
