Ya, I love frosty mornings. I think I'm going to get a lot of them this next week - supposed to be down in the low 20s each morning which is cold for this area.
I'm in NW Oregon, so not terribly far from you. I heard we might get a little snow this week, but I sure hope it doesn't get that cold! That's way too cold for me.
I was just looking at the weather forecast this morning - now showing 15 as a low here on Tuesday! :( Plus more snow... just as the plants were starting to wake up! I'm going to do a little mulching to help protect a few of mine.
That's a brutal forecast! You must be in a higher elevation. We're only about 50 feet above sea level. It gets really cold occasionally but not very often. Good luck with the mulching. I hope all the plants survive.
Thanks! I must just be in a cold trap - I'm only about a mile from the Puget Sound and at a similar elevation as you are. It has been snowing on and off today... though the snow would actually help keep everything insulated!
I've just looked at our forecast and it is not so different from yours now. The snow isn't so bad but I can't deal with ice! Here's hoping. I'll keep my fingers crossed for your plants. My chickens have eaten all of mine so there's nothing left to kill.
