Gotta love a good feed of fish. I have a heap of silver whiting in deep freeze, caught near Whyalla, here in South Australia about 4.5 hours away from my home. My wife's uncle caught them, scaled, filleted and de-boned them...A little butter and oil in a pan, a quick sizzle, add some salt, pepper and a squeeze of lemon...Yum!
Looks like a good haul you got there.
That's how we feel about redfish aka ocean perch. Super yummy however you cook them!
Ocean perch is good! I got hooked on cod when in the UK last year. Up until that point I hadn't eaten it for some reason. So good. We eat a lot of fish to be honest; More fish than poultry or red meat for sure. (My wife is pescetarian so no meat at all).
We love cod, but where we are in New England, you can not keep ANY at all EVER. Sigh... Don't get me started on the dragnetters....
Oh yeah, that happens here too. Humans like taking more than they need.
