I work with electricians on industrial construction sites. They use stainless steel zip ties at work to attach identification tags on electrical cables. They exist but they aren't cheap. If you want to get them nice and tight there is a tool to install them that tightens them and at the same time cuts the tails. Being stainless steel the tails don't cut easily. Without the tool they are tough to use and still have them look nice when you are done.
I've read horror stories about people trying to build geodesic dome homes. Personally I would stay away. I guess it could be a fun challenge though. It sounds like you've had success with one of the structures already too. Good luck to you. Thanks for posting.
it would be a fun project but I wouldn't want to live on one! Looks like an interesting idea as a greenhouse though.
