Saving tomato seeds with fermentation process.
Hello steemit! Today i will show you how to save tomato seeds.
I prefer to ferment them, because then they have a 90% more chance to grow.
We will need jar with water for first step and tomato.
First simply slice tomato with knife
Then you squeeze tomato . ( dont squeeze all seeds because if you want make some kind of tomato sauce its better to have some seeds for flavor)
So just slice squeeze few tomatoes.
After that shake jar so seeds are broken off and well mixed with a water. iT will settled down and ferment . Leave them for 3-4 days.
After 3 days grab strainer and rinse your seeds.(after fermenting your seeds will have some disgusting smell so need to rinse it)
Best to let your seeds to air dry for month.1
After this all your seeds will be healthy and ready . If you want to sell them you can lightly spray them with hydrogen peroxide, but even without it they are top notch quality.
Problem with seeds this days are GMO. Many of seeds this days you can save for next season because they are geneticly modified to not be useful for next season.
