Japanese pancakes , the fluffiest pancakes in the world.
Hi guys,its your chef again 😁 .so I was going through YouTube and saw a video of Emma (one of my favorite youtubers) when she made Japanese pancakes and I decided to try it out as I always do and it required a mixer which I no longer have because mine got stolen 😔,but I still tried it anyways. Saving up for a new mixer anyways,hopefully I'll be able to get a new one soon.
It was so fluffy and delicious guys, you have to make it. It was so beautiful, it's the fluffiest pancakes I've ever had or seen, I didn't use a mixer but it still had such amazing texture. It's like an extremely spongy Sponge cake 😋. The secrets to its spongyness is the egg whites. You have to beat the crap out of them, more like your making royal icing. It has to form soft peaks. So let's get down to the recipe fam😊. It's a Saturday so you could definitely try it. You could use any form of toppings on your pancakes, I just used a very little amount of maple syrup.
INGREDIENTS:
- A cup of flour.
- Half a cup of milk.
- Baking soda.
- A pinch of salt.
- 2 eggs.
- 5 tablespoon heap of white sugar.
- 3 tablespoons of butter.
STEP1.
Melt butter., add all the dry ingredients together ( flour, sugar, salt and baking soda). Add all wet ingredients together. Pour the milk into the butter to cool it down, add the egg yolk and mix well.
STEP2.
Now beat the crap out of the egg whites till they are extremely foamy and have soft peaks. Then add the wet ingredients into the dry ones. Scoop in half of the egg whites and fold in ,add the next half and fold gently so you don't deflate the egg whites, heat up your pan and grease with some butter,fry for 2 minutes each side. You want to cook on a low heat so the inside would have time to cook well. The batter is so airy as you can see, so many bubbles in it because of the eggs. It's so soft, the texture is still awesome with out using a hand mixer Yummmmm enjoy. so simple and yet yummy. Thanks for reading my post and I hope you try it out.
