NO MORE Chicken Tractor PT2- How we are raising Broilers without a Chicken Tractor

This is part 2 of 2 in this YouTube Series:
In this YouTube Video I talk about how we finish up this new chicken coop project & the new we are going to raise our meat chickens, broiler chickens , or cornish cross chickens.

We have tried 3 different types of chicken tractors in the last 2 years of us raising broiler chickens, but the chicken tractors, no matter the size, or style, like the Joel Salatin chicken tractor, they just do not seem to work on our small farm. So after thinking & thinking about it for the past few months, I came up with a new chicken run idea for our meat chickens, that will basically mimic free ranging them. This new idea of raising them will be very similar to the way we raise our laying hens.

I hope you enjoyed these videos on how we are raising our meat chickens, & hope you stick around for updates on this meat chicken setup...I will do weekly updates on the Podcast, that comes out every Sunday morning as well.

Way to go! Not every technique works for everyone, and you gotta keep trying until you get the method that works for you. :D

Nice video. I like the cattle panels for making all kinds of housing in our padlocks for different livestock. I have a very different problem then you with my land. My land is flat on the whole homestead so water sits. Lucky it is sand so the water will drain faster then clay but it causes problems in hog pens etc. I like a chicken tractor if it is just a big chicken house built on an actual trailer that I can move from pasture to pasture and just open up and let the chickens out. Only works though if you have your property is fenced off and it would be an issue with the hilly property you described. I also use the chicken netting and it works very well. The finished pen looks great though. Thanks for the video.
