Homeopathy is dead
The current rhetoric around homeopathy propagated by homeopaths themselves is that homeopathy is ‘struggling’, is ‘dying’, is in ‘crises’ and so forth. Although this is true on many accounts it is not the ‘whole’ truth.
The reality is that homeopaths and the profession are knee-deep in dogma and fear. Gone are the days of the medical and lay people doing what needed to be done which was to ‘see patients’ and to actively implement progressive methods like our giants such as Robert Davidson did for their era.
Do you think Dr Burnett was less ridiculed than you ? Or Dorothy Shepard? Both whose work we still aspire to, many decades later. What was so different from them and us? I will answer that: they carried on seeing patients and painstakingly documented their work. That left no time to wallow in their self-inflicted victim story. Giant souls they truly were and so can we be dear colleague.
The same narrative holds true for our colleges. A revolution needs to take place in the outdated form of marketing employed by every single college in the United Kingdom. Yes a bold statement; you may not agree with me but you will still be wrong.
Colleges are closing down one by one and blaming the current sociopolitical climate for their total inability and resistance to innovate. What seems to be an issue with the way homeopaths are sinking deeper into an abyss hold true for the colleges too. Wishy-washy fluffy slogans will not achieve much.
We have personally proven this fact in the middle-east by innovating and using the same principals as indicated by my two colleagues Alan Freestone and Sally Salamanda Loyd in their ongoing campaign and efforts. As we proceed towards opening a unique college in the region we have come across zero obstacles in attracting students. In fact we have more students in town than many colleges in the United Kingdom.
One example is our current campaign to attract low-income patients for our student clinic by sharing testimonials, boosting them for a limited time, niching, forming groups and working relentlessly towards our goals.
How is that possible in this current climate ? I will answer that too. Simply we have just seen more patients and given much more value to the community than any other complimentary therapist has in the region, I would advise you to do the same.
I love homeopathy. What a wonderfully effective and gentle medicine that the powers-that-shouldn't-be would rather the common people not know about.
So true ❤️
Great post & good luck with the college
Thanks@alanfreestone
ridicule just feeds the mad genius within!
Haha indeed@basilmarples
Hear Hear!!!
This is the truth.
Let's keep being great examples of busy, purposeful homeopaths until it can no longer be questioned.
