French Woman Cured of Intolerance to Wine

Well, actually it was all alcohol.

Each time my patient would imbibe she experienced extreme pain in her right kidney. When she went to her GP, he did the usual tests to find out what was going on.

The conclusion? Results = normal.

"There is nothing wrong; I can't help you.

How frustrating to be told that your pain shouldn't be there because the test results came back "normal." She was more than aware something was wrong, she felt the pain and knew the moment it would return. So she turned to homeopathy.

It was frustrating for her because she hailed from France, likes her wine (what French national doesn't!) and got a lot of pleasure of sharing a glass with friends over dinner.

The pain started after she had a round of antibiotics for a urinary tract infection two years prior. 2 years previous to that she had a Hep-C vaccine and said she never really felt well since then.

Other symptoms she was experiencing:

• Burning when urinating
• Pain in ovaries
• Spotting after sexual intercourse

On a biological level, kidneys process and filter every day about 200 quarts of blood, taking out nearly 2 quarts of waste products and water. These waste products come from the normal breakdown of tissue in the body as well as from our food. Antibiotics aren't always filtered out of the body and can have adverse effects on kidney function, especially over time if left untreated.

The combination of "never well since vaccination," pain in the ovaries and difficulty urinating pointed me to Thuja which I like to use as a quick "clearance" when I see such a case.

It ended up working beautifully - her ovary pain disappeared within days, the spotting stopped after intercourse, and she was able to have more than just a sip of alcohol "sans" a stitch of pain.
