RE: The Things To Expect While Coming To A Homeless Shelter
Your sadness is palpable yet I know many people who run shelters and actually cry themselves to sleep over the souls of their residents. There are people who care and truly want the best for the less fortunate. I can only hope you connect with these folks soon.
Well, where I am I feel that people care more about making money off the homeless then they do the actual homeless themselves. They get GRH funding, and there really isn't a way to get it unless you're in a place that locks you up and makes you feel as though you are just a pawn in their game. I know some people truly care, but most people don't see that it's been employed to make sure that people end up this way, hurting and homeless. I don't know the answers, but I know that the government doesn't give a shit, and won't give a shit unless they can pay their buddies and their friends for money that our signatures make for them to continue to run a place like it is. I'd rather have homeless people out in the streets because this way people might care more... people might fight more to live better, and we wouldn't have to be subject to all the pain that goes on it a place that isn't made for the homeless, when the people that work there can hardly take the pain, what about the detrimental emotions of the actual people living there... do they care? Do they really really care? Or is it just a paycheck?
