My property is now up on Booking.Com portal

Dear friends, I am very glad to announce today that my property is now listed on Booking.Com portal as a holiday home stay. Yesterday I was having troubles initially but then in a couple of hours it got sorted and started showing up. I am not renting the property for extended stay period, maximum renting allowed is only for a week. The price is also on the higher end so even a week would be very expensive. But then it's a complete villa that with 4 bedrooms that I am renting out which can easily accommodate 14 to 16 people. Totally there are 5 bedrooms, but my personal bedroom I am going to keep it locked and not rent out.

Guess what the good news is, yesterday I listed the property and I already had my first reservation coming through in just couple of hours for this weekend stay. It's reserved on the site, and I am not yet 100% sure if the client will confirm. There is a up to 3 days cancellation policy, so by tomorrow I will get to know confirmed if it's getting booked or not. But even if it does not, I am not feeling sad. I am happy that it is visible on the portal for at least people to see it in options.

When you search for stays in Lonavala for 14 people, my property is showing up on the list. I am feeling so happy about it. Now my next step is to create an Insta page and promote it in my social media circle. Yesterday I also reached out to one photographer to get a professional shoot of my place to be done, but when he gave me the prices, I was zapped, it is super expensive, so as of now I have dropped that idea and managing it with my self clicked pictures which have also come out decently well.

There is lot of work to do from here on and I am taking it slowly gradually building up things. I have also blocked a lot of dates for my own use as I do not want to make it 100% commercial. I would be happy if it goes on rent for even 5 to 6 days in a month, which will help me recover the maintenance cost and a little additional in hand. This is a huge leap for me and my family in our lives, I never imagined my life will take this turn and I would be doing these property things. Truly it's unpredictable where life can take us.
