The supports go well below sea level and are secure on the ocean floor, bolstering various steel supports for structural stability. Yellow painted concrete base serves as the foundation for the rest of the tower and it’s quite amazing to see this type of system implemented between islands. I could only imagine how deep excavation and works would have been under water support such a project. I was beginning to realise that Vietnam was filled with interesting feats of engineering and construction, from creativity at the Crazy House right down to a network of cable carts in the ocean, there was so much to be seen and discovered.
