NHL: Toronto Vs. Washington Game One!
The number one ranked team in the NHL The Washington Capitals takes on my team The Toronto Maple Leafs!
Toronto are heavy underdogs. After finishing dead last in the league last year they are in the playoffs for only the second time in the past ten years.
Toronto
Toronto boasts 3 outstanding rookies including the number one draft pick from last year Austin Matthews. The young sensation from Arizona scored 40 goals and had 29 assists to win the rookie scoring race. William Nylander and Mitch Marner were number 3 and 4 in rookie scoring each finishing with 61 points. another Toronto rookie, Connor Brown finished his first season with 20 goals.
Washington
Wahington is the deepest team in the league and can roll out 4 lines. They have the amazing Alexander Ovechkin who is arguably the greatest goal scorer of the past decade and he is complimented by an all-star cast. An Ovechkin lead team has never made it past the second round of the playoffs and many pundits see this as his last chance at a championship with his original team!
