Hot Wheels Ferrari Collection

in #hobby7 years ago

Who doesn’t like Ferrari? Those eye catching flaming red, the aerodynamics shape, the speed. Of course for those who have real deep pockets it’s not a problem to buy it as a symbol of success or even to show their status. But for those who have a like mediocre fund and can only admire it, well ... maybe one way to have its “prestige” is through collections. Whether it's from sports memorabilia, t-shirts, posters, merchandises, die cast, etc. Die cast collection itself - in my opinion - is one way to enjoy this magnificent Italian supercar. And for this topic I will write about one of the best die cast manufacturer of all time.. Hot Wheels.

As a brand of die cast that has been producing since the 1960’s there is no doubt about quality from this Mattel subsidiary. And Hot Wheels itself took Ferrari as their official product in 1970 and unfortunately ended on December 1, 2014. For the next, Ferrari’s license is given to BBrugo. I think that’s a very disappointing decision ‘cause in my opinion, as an older player in this section the quality of Hot Wheels has been proved and deserves to be a collection, especially for adult collectors. Even for regular series though. The result is the skyrocketing price of Hot Wheels Ferrari that has been issued in previous years.

For collectors this is a perfect time to start selling their collectibles because of the uprising prices or even collect back the Ferrari series that they have not had before prices soar higher. And later, they even can sell it again with the higher price depend on market price and demand. Who would think that die cast collection could be such a promising side business?

For example the regular series of Ferrari 599xx in 2012 which when out sells for about just 1 USD, but now breaking up to 30 USD!!! Not to mention for the $ T-Hunt series that can be sold at 115 USD even more depend on the card type. Even for the same 1:64 scale but in limited edition that was recently sold in the auction Indonesia Die cast Expo 2017 with a ripp off price for about 1,260 USD!!! This is because only 100 units are produced worldwide and the production line number is 1 (one), which means in product line, this die cast is made first. What a price for a die cast. But for a prestige to have something super rare and highly sought after, this prices is doesn’t matter. Well.. That’s the collection world.

*sorry, I could'nt find the number 1/100 of this toy. If there is, it include the owner who bought it :)

In the future I will write each of my Hot Wheels Ferrari collection, not much though. Just to share my thought about one of the series that ever existed and often sought by Hot Wheels collectors. Any suggestions and opinions are welcome.. :)
