RE: Do something you're good at

Good advice.
I am particularly sensitive (receptive) to stress unfortunately, and my therapy is to do what I love and I'm good at (programming). Without that, I'm beset by panic. But I can think about it (my projects, what I'll do next) every time i'm in a stressful situation.

And you should do it before problems arise. A life without hobbies isn't a life.

Correct. And don't get stressed. Life is meant to be enjoyed. It seems like your stuck in a small bubble that bursts whenever you don't program. Enjoy life for what it is. Spread the word. #alexMD

Easier said than done :D I wasn't programming a lot (but it was already a hobby for some years) before it happened to me (I wasn't stressed at all as a child / young adult but work did that to me).
It's crazy the habits the brain can take... And the efforts required to break them is even crazier.
It doesn't restrain me from enjoying life, it did for some time, but I came back.
It just made me realize that I had to do what I want when I want (and f*ck their careers and their money), and programming is most of the time what I want to do.

There you go. It seems like you got a good grasp. Keep it up and good luck. Stay tuned for more posts of mine.
