Greetings, Coringation travelers!!

Last Monday, November the 5th of 2024, after more than three years without winning against our biggest rival, ᵖᵃˡᵐᵉᶦʳᵃˢ, and without winning in front of our supporters since 2018, the Time do Povo demolished the opponent in our stadium in Itaquera.

The game started with their team dominating the actions, a theme that continued throughout almost the entirety of the first half. But it was almost at the end of it that Yuri Alberto crossed the ball into the opposing area and one of the opponents poorly touched it, letting it get into Matheuzinho's feet. He them drove it out of the area and assisted Rodrigo Garro, who shot it instantly and rapidly from outside the box, close to the ground, and it entered beautifully next to the left side of the goal. 1x0 Timão

In the second half, we had to be a lot more attentive in defense and take the pressure. But after a corner kick by the bad green team, José Martinez won the dispute for the ball, passed to our star Garro, who drove it to the attacking half and assisted Yuri Alberto; the long through touch was unfortunately too deep, but fortunately the opposing keeper made a huge mistake, mistiming the ball, and our scoring leader Yuri was smarter and was able to push the ball past him, making it 2x0 for our Coringation!

This was an enormous win for the squad after two really sad and badly played eliminations both in Copa do Brasil and Sulamericana. It's been a rrally chaotic end of year, both for me and Coringation, but I do hope I can continue to post for these next weeks.
