Am a big fan of cricket and the team i support is the Team India also know as Men in Blue.
The memory that still runs in my head till date is the final between India vs Sri Lanka, the match was played Whankade Stadium Mumbai.
The 2011 ICC final between India vs Sri Lanka was the most expected and memorable match which fulfilled 28 years of waiting for Indian cricket fans across the globe. This was one match that glued entire nation infront of the TV sets at homes,offices and various places.

India faced the final with Sri Lanka being one of the formidable sides with the likes of players like Jayawadene,Sangakkara,Dilshan and Muralitharan.Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first. Tharanga and Dilshan opened the innings for Sri Lanka.But Tharanga was dismissed for a dismal score by Zaheer Khan, Sangakkara entered and steadied the innings till Dilshan was dismissed.

After that entered Mahela Jayawardene who made the most of the innings and remained not out till the end.He scored an unbeaten century 103 off 88 balls to spearhead Sri Lankan batting unit to 274 runs in 50 overs

Next, India began chasing 275 in 50 overs only to receive an early jolt in the form of Shewag dismissed for a duck . The biggest disappointment came for the Indians in the form of dismissal of Sachin Tendulkar scoring only 13 runs. It was a huge upset for all the fans. Kohli and Gambhir steadied the innings for a while till Kohli was dismissed for 35 runs.

Every one kept guessing who would bat next after Kohli’s dismissal. All of them thought it would be Yuvraj but it was MS Dhoni ,the skipper. He joined Gambir and together they were piling runs . Unfortunately Gambhir was given run out. He scored 97 runs from 122 balls missing his century narrowly by 3 runs

Yuvraj joined Dhoni at the crease and together they were scoring runs. India reached 271 -4 in just 48 overs. I was really tensed and am sure all the fans of Cricket watching the match were tensed as well, then i begin praying. The big moment arrived and the man at the crease was MS Dhoni . Boom!!!!! MS finished the innings in style with a six!!!!
