How to fight stress with origami
Hello,
today, I would like to get a bit deeper about origami and how to use it to fight the stress, as you can understand by reading the title of this post.
There are many aspects, and many aspects of this form of handy art that can help you out, I think that the main ones are: clear your mind, stop time and eliminate anxiety.
Anxiety and worries are more frequent problems than people think.
We live in a society that urges us to run, however in the mad pursuit of ever new goals we forget that the tendency to make projects clutters the mind and, leaves no room for novelty.
Time
Do you want to experiment with origami?
There are groups and clubs of enthusiasts, as well as the possibility of following online video tutorials that will help you improve your technique and learn, step by step, increasingly complex figures.
On the market there are already cut colored sheets, square in shape, with which to experiment the creation of origami, whose meaning derives from the Japanese language and literally means folding the paper.
Paper, fragile and adaptable to new forms, in Shinto culture recalls the life cycle, transformation, the beginning and the end.
Patience
Animals, flowers, intriguing decorations captured from the world of nature: making origami is a real form of meditation.
Take your time and train for accuracy.
Today we are used to running, but we pay less attention to beauty, a quality that, on the contrary, makes what we do precious because it adds accuracy and love for shape. Learning to treat objects with kindness teaches us that the true source of harmony is within us.
Concentration
Dwell on the folds of the paper, take your time and you will realize that you are fully immersed in an activity that fully occupies your mind.
According to Zen monks focus on what you are doing without loopholes it helps to be fully present, and therefore, increases our awareness by fighting anxiety and the tendency to flee.
Slowly, the restlessness subsides and a sense of peace emerges.
Free your mind
Time, patience and slowness reconcile our gestures to the well-being that we feel the need on an inner level.
The mind goes blank. Thoughts, stresses and worries flee: the here and now remain, along with the satisfaction of learning something new.
Watching your origami take shape you will perceive a new nourishment, able to interrupt the routine and participate in a process of deep relaxation. Step by step, a hobby able to change the quality of your day.
I love it😁
