About three years ago,I worked with an organic hair production company(Golden organic s) as a logistics/ delivery agent in osun state.

On a very special day,I had listed the details of customers up for delivery and set out to deliver the products but one particular customer wasn't picking up her calls, we had discussed earlier and she was to leave the country from Ogun state the next day, wanted to travel with them but won't be able too if I don't get it to her on time.

She was our second biggest customer and had made a large order that day,as a good delivery agent I knew I had to find a way to get those goods to her and to get them on time.

I hurried up with other deliveries as I kept on calling her line,she wasn't responding, I said a quick prayer and took a step of faith as I got peace of mind to move out to Ibadan from osun state.

By the time I had arrived Ibadan,it was evening already I had slept in the bus and I woke up to her missed calls and text message explaining that she had an emergency and couldn't respond to me,she was so sad that she had missed the package (we normally don't delivery products if the owner is not responding to calls) but with excitement I told her I was already in Ibadan and will send the products to her from there,I quickly did the waybill, settled the driver and headed back to osun state.

She called me when she received the package with so much excitement and tipped me.

It was a very long day,I arrived late, showered, said quick prayers and crashed on my bed.

When I got to work the next day,I explained everything to my Boss and she was glad we didn't miss that deal.

That customer has never come back to Nigeria since then but connected us to other foreign customers that bought in large quantity too.

Moral lesson:

  • Talking to your creator about issues even at work can be just it

  • always satisfy your customer to the best of your knowledge.

  • opportunity once missed may never be recovered.

  • whatever is worth doing is worth doing well.

  • you never know where your product or service may reach so always deliver quality.
