I’m so pleased to talk about my country and also to join this contest and I appreciate @abu78 for organizing this contest.

MY COUNTRY! MY COUNTRY! MY COUNTRY! OH GHANA MY HOMELAND

Ghana is the name of my country and it is located at the Western part of the world.The name Ghana came about after we gained independence in the year 1957 at the Independence square and this is because we were been ruled by British so we had the name Gold Coast.
And also it was by the help of our former president Dr.Kwame Nkrumah that we gained independence.

OUR OFFICIAL FLAG

The flag wasn’t just made but made with a purpose because the colors in the flag stands for separate things which I’m going to talk about.
RED:It stands for the blood our forefathers shed during war
YELLOW:It stands for the various rich minerals we have
GREEN:It stands for our vegetation.

INDEPENDENCE SQUARE

Ghana is a country which is liked by all and I’m also going to share why I like Ghana.
First of all,I like my country because of our rich culture.Over here,we are very dynamic in our way of doing things and this is what makes us stand out and also due to our culture it attracts foreigners into the country.We have festivals such as Homowo,Odwira,Hogbetsotso and so on where the past is been remembered and also which brings so many people from all walks of life together.

Also,my country is endowed with so many rich minerals such as gold,diamond,cocoa and so on which helps us to generate income to boost our economy.This has helped us sustain a balanced economy in the past years and we’re really proud of it.

Not to talk to much,we also have various tourist sites where people from all walks of life and different countries come to have fun and understand the history of these tourist sites.It also attracts foreign investors who come to invest due to the tourist sites.We have tourist sites such as Boti Falls,Kakum National Park,Kwame Nkrumah Museum

Now coming to my favorite part,Ghana as a country can boast of our rich and local food which contains so many nutrients needed for boosting the immune system and also growth.Ghanaian food is the best because it is gotten from the best sources and also prepared very well.Some foods include Omotuo with soup,Banku and Tilapia,Fufu and so on.
