Filipino Food #2 : How To Prepare Banana Turon / "Turon na Saging" in Easy Steps | 20% to Steemskillshare
Hi Steemskillshare!
It's really been a while! For today's blog, I'm gonna be sharing with you my step-by-step procedure in making a Turon na Saging in caramelized brown sugar.
Turon na Saging is a Lumpia-wrapper-rolled-dessert filled with most commonly Banana (Preferably Cardaba) or Sweet potato. It is usually coated with caramelized brown sugar, but, may also not be, depending on your preference. Along with the fillings, cheese and jackfruit are commonly added to make it even tastier.
So, let's get started!

INGREDIENTS
BANANAS (CARDABA)
LUMPIA WRAPPER
BROWN SUGAR
COOKING OIL
STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURE
1. Wrap the Bananas in lumpia wrappers.
2. Preheat the pan and pour the cooking oil.
3. Once the oil is hot enough, add enough amount of brown sugar, and let it melt to caramelize.
4. Start frying the wrapped Bananas in the caramelized brown sugar.
5. Flip them over and over so as to have them evenly coated with the Caramelized brown sugar.
6. Leave them for like 3 minutes to let them be cooked enoughly.
7. Take them off the pan, and drain the excess oil.
8. Serve and enjoy!
That's all! Easy, right? Why not give it a try? Well, I hope it helps you in one way or another. Thank you for your time!
P.S. If you have anything Filipino food that you want to learn how to do, you can let me know what that is in the comment section. I will try to feature/discuss that in my future food blogs. That would be very much appreciated.
'til then!
