Hello fellow Steemians, i am glad to showcase my poetry skills in this amazing contest organised by @abu78. My poem is titled Land of Roses

Seasons go and seasons come.
The sun rises across the horizon, glowing its way westward. It is the onset of another season.
“Dun-durum, dun-durum” I heard a sound. Up I looked and beheld a cloud so tiny dancing in the sky. Spreading itself far and wide.
It rained. Wetting the dry fallow grounds. Springing forth were lilies. There amongst them, I planted roses.
Heaven I pray you withhold not your rain from upon my rose garden, nor allow the stormy gales to blow off its hedges. Springing forth were lilies.
Little did I finish praying that I beheld an angel coming to pick the roses. “This must be my angel, so I said.” We exchanged greetings, smiles traded, and there among the roses, our hearts glued, one with the other.
With the fragrance of love that oozes from my rose garden, I intoxicate her. The desire that emanates from her eyes enveloped me like a spell, drawing me closer to her chambers.
Two hearts melted as one, two souls knitted as one marked a season so glorious and a happy ever after.
