CRYPTO CONTEST : My favorite Cryptocurrency || DASH Coin (DASH)
Good evening guys, trust you are all good. While scrolling around the platform I came across a contest organised by @vik24, it all about our favourite cryptocurrency. If you would like to participate you can check the rule of the contest here.
THE COIN I CHOOSE (DASH)
DASH is a privacy coin, I know most of the newbies will be confused on what privacy coin is, I will explain it a an easy to understand language.
Privacy coin refers to as the coin that hide the user details, it will hide the amount held in the wallet. For instance Bitcoin which is not a privacy coin, whenever you transact using Bitcoin anyone can see the amount held in your wallet, the privacy coin eliminate this as it keeps the users data, and details hidden.
DASH is a privacy coin that allow anyone to receive and send payments, providing a great anonymity and transaction speed than Bitcoin.
WHY I CHOOSE THIS COIN
Apart for the fact that DASH offers privacy and quicker transaction processing compared to Bitcoin, the coin has some unique features. This features made me fall in love with this coin, I will discuss some of the features below.
The Masternode: this is a special server on the DASH network, the Masternode ensure that the transaction perform on the DASH network is very fast and private, in return they earn 45% of the mining reward. Becoming a Masternode is quite simple all you need is to deposit a minimum 1000 DASH coin and good to go.
Private send: this is another feature that makes DASH unique, anyone can send DASH coin privately, the network ensure the user information and balance details are hidden.
Instant send: this feature ensure that transactions on DASH are triggered at once, no delay as the transaction is procceed instanly
Decentralized Governance: this is one of the feature that made DASH unique and completely different from Bitcoin, the DASH network is design in a way that 10% reward from the mining reward will go back to the DASH network, this is use to maintain and develop the network.
The above unique features are the main reason I choose DASH coin as my favorite coin.
WHY THE COIN OF YOUR CHOICE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHERS?
DASH coin is the most ranked privacy coin in the crypto market, the coin is currently ranked #49 in term of market capitalization $1,638,871,833 with a 24h trading volume of $228,962,019, circulating and total supply at 10,296,822.10 DASH and 18,900,000 DASH respectively. it's currently traded at $257.96 it all time high was and all time low was . DASH does not only solves the problem of privacy, but it also offers a faster transaction speed than Bitcoin and other non-privacy cryptocurrencies.
DASH coin has some unique features, including Instantsend, which allows users to send money quickly, Privatesend, which allows users to send and receive money without exposing the user details, and Decentralized Governance. This feature is for the development and improvement of the network. Don't forget the Masternode that allow anyone to earn rewards from the mining by just depositing a certain amount of DASH.
Looking at the above chart, DASH coin price was very low at $0.2139 then on December 2017, the price reach an all time high of $1,642.22, that was 3 year ago and the current price now is $257.96 meaning it still low, there is a high tendency of the coin reaching the previous all time high and probably reaching a new all time high. This implies that DASH coin price is still low and the best time to buy it and keep it for future investment.
TELL US HOW YOU USE IT AND WHERE?
DASH can be used to make payment privately, I will explain how DASH works in the illustration below;
For instance, I want to send 5 DASH coin to my friend Dunni, after I have purchased the coin from an exchange (I will list the exchange that offer it later). I collected Dunni (receiver) address this address is usually generated randomly.
I send the 5 DASH coin to Dunni, the miner will verify the transaction with the InstanSend feature the Masternode will make sure the transaction is verifed quickly and in return the Masternode earn 45% from the mining fee, 45% will go to the miner and the remaining 10% will go back to the network this will be use for the improvement of the DASH network..
Finally, Dunni will receive the 5 DASH coin, the transaction details are completely hidden and nobody in the world can view it.
DASH coin can be use to make payment, the fee involved is very low, quick and done anonymous.

Additionally, DASH coin can be purchased on any local exchange, for instance in my country Nigeria a local exchange called Quidax allow us to buy cryptocurrency with our local fund (Naira). This is done directly and instantly..
On February 27, 2021 I purchased 1.23 DASH for N178,540.66 at approximately N145,153.01 per DASH coin. This is because I have so much faith in DASH coin and I have made big investment in the coin hoping the price will boom very soon.
CONCLUSION
DASH coin is very useful for anyone who want to transact without exposing their details, as an investor you can take advantage of the Masternode to earn some of the mining reward, just deposit a minimum of 1000 DASH and start.
