FUN TIME WITH MY LITTLE NIECE
I stayed with my elder sis way back before I got admission Into the university and I enjoyed every moment with them.
So on Fridays , I go with the flow when it comes with preparing my nephew and niece school lunch, like I usually won't make something serious, it could be bread toast, sandwich, pan cakes or even pastries made with my toaster.
So last week I made coconut pancakes for them, usually my niece would always join me in the kitchen when am cooking (they love it anyways) gum body with big aunty 😆😆
Each time I make this stuff, I take my time to list out the ingredients and explain the process of preparation to my 5 year old niece , she knows most items by names so it's so easy for me
One of the things I have learnt in playing parents role for my niece journey is that cooking is a skill that needs to be taught as early as possible.
So I told her we would prepare it together this time around I would just be supervising, I have. taught her about the dry and wet ingredients for pancake and which ones goes in first.
She broke the eggs and set asides measured out quantity of flour and the others and began mixing. I helped her stir the batter and place in the pan to fry, pan cake came out so well and she was proud. I would rate her 7/10. Of course every where was messy😆😆 at the end but then that's part of the process.
We try again next time, it's never too late to be Intentional in your parenting journey. I know you can and I love you!!!
