As adults

As adults, we constant assess ourselves by obtaining a well-paying job, purchasing our dream house, or marrying an attractive partner. As children, success meant achieving the highest grades or receiving constant praise from our teachers or peers. It's important to recognize that our expectations are entirely our own creations.
