Hi guys!
The holiday season is upon us and I can already sense a sigh of relief. The year 2020 is very close to an end. This has been the first year in many years that most of us have stayed at home for a major part of the year. Covid-19 certainly has made this a crappy year for many.

While Covid did run havoc on the centralized world, it was a boon for the decentralized crypto world. We saw many cryptocurrencies refreshing their all-time-highs. Bitcoin for the very first time during its existence managed to hit an all-time high of over 24,500. The best part is that we have not even got to the core of this bull run.

The inflation that is being added to centralized fiat currencies is certainly giving cryptocurrencies a massive push to the upside. I already cannot wait for 2021 to come. With that thought, let me go through my daily activities today.

Morning:

Today morning was a bit different. For the first time in many months, Cooper didn't wake up till it was around 7:30 AM in the morning. Currently, the early morning temperatures go as low as 13 degrees Celcius. While this may not seem that cold for the people living in the northern states of India or any other closer regions in the west, it definitely feels very cold for a person who has lived in Bangalore all his life.

I had to cut down on today's morning walk because it was too late and Cooper would have been starving. As soon as I got home I gave him some water and food. He quickly gargled them down his throat and went to sleep.

Once Cooper went to sleep, I completed my morning chores and got ready to have my breakfast. Today mom had made vegetable pulav with raita. Pulav is aromatic rice with vegetables and spices. It tasted really very good.

After breakfast, it was time for me to get to work. I attended the morning standup and quickly fixed a couple of bugs that were assigned to me. My main intention was to fix as many bugs as possible so that I can take a long holiday till January 4th.

Afternoon:

At noon, I had lunch. Today I had ragi ball and curd rice for lunch. While having my lunch, I got a call from Microsoft teams. It was a call that destroyed my hopes of taking a long holiday. A bug was discovered in the production environment of one of our biggest customers, Volvo!.

Since more than half my team was already on leave, I had to pick this up. On analyzing the bug further, I was able to realize that the fix to this would have a massive impact on the entire application. It would also take longer than usual as the entire application needs to then go through a round of regression testing as well.

So, now I will be working throughout the next week and won't have a long holiday. Had to take one for the team in this case.

Evening and Night:

In the evening I had some Lays(Potato Chips) and Oreo for snacks. After my snacks, Cooper's trainer had come over. So, we went out for another hour for his training session. Today we practiced "Place" command. This is a very important command that would help to keep your dog under control even when you are not close to him. If you have a pet dog at home, I would highly suggest you start practicing this.

Trainer Natarajan also told me that we should start feeding Cooper only through our hands. This is to remove his possessive behavior towards his food bowl. So, in the night, I fed him his ragi ball, rice, and chicken with my hand itself. I will be continuing this for the next 66 months and hopefully be able to see a drastic change in his behavior by then.

In the night I had Roti and sabji for dinner. Mom had made drumstick sabji which was very tasty. After dinner, I continued coding a bit and then started to read a bunch of new articles here on steemit. Finally, I am writing my diary post and will be heading to sleep now.
