Very few people will actually dare to take a break from their jobs and think about doing things that they would enjoy, like taking a long holiday or taking a break to learn something one enjoys.

I think 90% of people prefer to get a decent job, the reason is that after doing 20-22 years of hard work, people don't afford many struggles for a long time. Some people have their family responsibilities too.
