Hello steemians how are you? I hope you all are doing well and you all are save and doing well in their home or in their respective working feilds.

Raksha Bandhan is a festival of love, a festival of resolve to protect a sister, a festival of meeting everyone together.Every Indian celebrates the festival of Raksha Bandhan with joy and gaiety.

Some people are able to meet their siblings in many years. Some sisters are unable to even meet their brothers and only parcel Rakhi.

Today I will share with my friends how we celebrate Rakhi in my family.

In total there are 12 members in my family. In Total in my family my son and my niece have 3 sisters. So before rakhi first we cook dishes such as kadi chawal, arbi, sewaiya,roti and so on.

Then first we do Prahalad pooja, it's a pooja that we perform at the main entrance of our house.

Then after its time to first celebrate rakhi with kahana ji. My daughter tie rakhi on their hands, then she tie a rakhi on my late father in law frame.

Then it's time to tie rakhi on their brothers hand. One by one every sister tie rakhi and then brother give th gift and money. After that it's time that girls tie rakhi on our hands.

My husband and I sit together and our daughter tie rakhi in our hands. Then one by one tie rakhi on everyone's hand in our family.

Then after all these rituals it's time to have food and mithai, sawaiya.

After that we went to pitampura where my husband sister live. She is waiting from a long time to tie rakhi. So we reach there. First we have lunch, then rakhi celebration start.

Finally around 7 pm we move towards our home. In between that we saw beauty of burari. All the street light shine with tri-colour. Finally we reach home and have dinner.
