Currently, I am in Varanasi. It is my home town. I came here to meet my parents and also to attend one of my closest friends' wedding ceremony. I took leave for a few days during the wedding ceremony and right now, I am working from home. I will travel back to Agra this Saturday. I think I traveled a lot in the last 1 month.

Let me talk a little bit about Varanasi. It is in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and very popular among religious tourist places in India. Pilgrims come to Varanasi to take bathe in the water of the holy Ganges. There are around 2000 temples in the surrounding streets of the city, Kashi Vishwanath temple is one among them. I have shared some pictures in this post below.

It was a working day, I started my office work at 10:00 am, checked all emails and office google hangouts group messages replied to a few important ones, and then continued with my morning scrum calls with the team.

Apart from regular project work, I am also working on a proof of concept using the Microsoft Azure function app, service bus, and event hub. The idea is to use this as a base architecture in any integration project to cut down the development time.

While working on that, I came across Azure Blockchain services, which is currently in preview mode, and also saw, Syscoin full node(preview) so I read a little more about it. I found that very interesting and was really excited to see in Azure services.

I finished most of the work by evening 5:00 pm and then decided to go to dashashwamedh ghat to see the evening aarti (prayer) of Ganges. It is just at 7 KMs distance from my home.

Varanasi is a really beautiful place. Its 88 Ghat is wonderful. Pandit comes to Varanasi from all over India to specialize in Sanskrit. I am not coming to Prayagraj next week. @neerajkr03

To spend time with loved ones, very few people get such jobs outside. And I have gone there in a very good place to visit Varanasi. It is a very good place.
