The Diary Game | 13 June 2021| Heavy doses of European football these days ☕⚽
I woke up at 7 am, freshened up and had a cup of lemon tea. Then I went to town for some essential shopping. I returned by 10:30 am. Then I had breakfast. After that I checked Steemit notifications from the previous night.
Preparing Lemon Tea
The previous night I stayed awake till 2:30 am as I watched a Euro 2020 football match. Also I woke up early, so I was feeling drowsy. Therefore I took a nap.
Last night, in the Denmark v Finland game, the former's star player Christian Eriksen suffered what is being reported as a cardiac arrest on the field. The scene was disturbing. What was more concerning was that the player needed immediate CPR.
One of the most disappointing moments as a football fan. Fans prayed while the player's initial treatment was taking place
The entire stadium was in a state of panic and shock. I have heard of football teams wiped out in plane crashes, seen career threatening injuries but this was the worst moment ever. Eventually he recovered and is stable now. Thanks to his teammates, the referee, the medics who responded swiftly, otherwise the situation could have been worse.
I woke up at about 2:30 pm in the afternoon. Then I took shower, had lunch and went to keep tabs on the news on Twitter.
In the evening, I adjusted my Euro fantasy league team for the upcoming games. Watched the first half of England v Croatia, the whole of Austria v North Macedonia. Then I had dinner(Mom decided to replace roti with rice in the menu). Now my eyes were calling for some rest. So I went to sleep and skipped the Netherlands v Ukraine game that started at half past midnight.
Mixed veg, pointed gourds and potato fry, salad in dinner
Thanks.

Yeah, right the craziness of football is way more than cricket (Except in India). i personally believe that government should take some initiative to promote Football in India @ brahmaputra
Yeah.. to succeed on international platform, Indian football needs a whole structural transformation. #affable
you are right. India need a whole new modus operandi to play next FIFA or Euro @brahmaputra
Yes. Exactly. To play in FIFA and Asia! #affable
It seems that you are a football ⚽ lover @brahmaputra, I also love to watch world cup football but my favourite game is cricket and lawn tennis 🎾
Haha.. yeah m naturally more inclined towards sports compared to entertainment. ☺️ Good to know you also love a bit of sports. #affable

Welcome brother 😊🤟 #affable
It is always sad to see players get injured on the pitch. The way Christian went down was heart-breaking. I had actually imagined the worst. But thank God he is better now. Hopefully he gets back on the field soon. Btw, what teams are you rooting for this year?
Tbh almost everybody did, but may be God had other ideas.
M supporting Portugal this time. They have a tactical squad, not much showboat names, only pure quality.
But also think Belgium or France can make the cut as well.
Yours euro fav?
#affable
I want Portugal to win. For Ronaldo since this is going to be his last Euro outing. But I believe France has a good chance. And also England unless they choke as they always do. They have pretty good/young line up.
Yeah.. I second every word of yours here. 😊🤟 #affable
