WHOM DO YOU PUT YOUR TRUST IN? 1

5 THIS is what the LORD says: “CURSED ARE THOSE WHO PUT THEIR TRUST IN MERE HUMANS, WHO RELY ON HUMAN STRENGTH AND TURN THEIR HEARTS AWAY FROM THE LORD .
6 THEY ARE LIKE STUNTED SHRUBS IN THE DESERT, with no hope for the future. They will live in the barren wilderness, in an uninhabited salty land.
7 “BUT BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO TRUST IN THE LORD AND HAVE MADE THE LORD THEIR HOPE AND CONFIDENCE.
8 THEY ARE LIKE TREES PLANTED ALONG A RIVERBANK, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. THEIR LEAVES STAY GREEN, AND THEY NEVER STOP PRODUCING FRUIT."
Jeremiah 17:5-8 (NLT)

• Whoever you put your trust in, apart from God, you had turned the person to another god.

• Truly God would not come down to bless you, He would use humans, As some people say; but He wants you to know and Acknowledge that He, God, is the One behind whatever good anyone did for you.
• Many people have put themselves under a curse, shut God out of their lives, because they put their trust in man—a mere human: "THUS SAYS THE LORD: “CURSED IS THE MAN WHO TRUSTS IN MAN AND MAKES FLESH HIS STRENGTH, WHOSE HEART DEPARTS FROM THE LORD" (Jeremiah 17:5 NKJV).
• When a believer in Christ Jesus who claims to have given his or her allegiance to God shifted their gaze from God and put it on someone or something or people; they are usually allowed to be disappointed—let down by those they trusted.
• Those who are not born-again usually do this, and there are believers who do it As well. If you As a believer walks closely with God, He would not want the glory of whatever is done in your life, by Him, be shared with anyone or anything.
• In some cases, when you allow this to happen, as a believer in Christ Jesus, you are endangering the life of the person whom you put your trust in. God would not compete with anyone about the leadership and the control of your life. God cannot be in the control of your life and at the same time another person, No—It is either God or not.
• Someone who is not all that committed in his or her relationship with God can afford to do this, put his or her trust in a mere human, but a believer who walks closely with God is not expected to do it and should not do it.

• When challenges of life come, pray and wait on God and allow Him to lead you on what to do, direct you on how to fix the problems.

• God will not share His glory with any person, or graven image, or thing: “I AM THE LORD; THAT IS MY NAME! I WILL NOT GIVE MY GLORY TO ANYONE ELSE, NOR SHARE MY PRAISE WITH CARVED IDOLS" (Isaiah 42:8 NLT).

• All the glory in a believer's life should be given to God, no person on earth should give or ascribe glory to himself or herself, or anyone else, or something else.
• If someone proposes to help you in whatever predicament you find yourself, and it is known to God that such would want to take the glory or share the glory with Him, of whatever good thing that happens in your life; He surely would not allow or permit the person to help you, or allow such to do the good they intended to do—He would frustrate the person!

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

• Whatever is contrary to your health is rebuked and uprooted totally in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
• And the Affliction will never rise again in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

• If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
