THOSE WHOSE MINDS ARE BLINDED

3 BUT EVEN IF OUR GOSPEL IS VEILED, IT IS VEILED TO THOSE WHO ARE PERISHING,
4 WHOSE MINDS THE god OF THIS AGE HAS BLINDED, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them."

Comment: Gospel being preached cannot be veiled for those who are open-hearted; It could only be veiled for those who are close-hearted—those who had given the opportunity to the devil to cover their minds against God and His Word.
Mind could be veiled when someone wants to make money by all means, or such is seeking for power, or position, or fame, and whatever (1 Timothy 6:9,10). In the process of seeking these things, the person whose craving is untamed, would be sold a lie, and that will veil his or her heart from knowing the truth. And when the knowledge of God is not embraced, the person would be allowed to be deluded:
10 . . . BECAUSE THEY DID NOT RECEIVE THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH, THAT THEY MIGHT BE SAVED. 11 AND FOR THIS REASON GOD WILL SEND THEM STRONG DELUSION, THAT THEY SHOULD BELIEVE THE LIE, 12 THAT THEY ALL MAY BE CONDEMNED WHO DID NOT BELIEVE THE TRUTH BUT HAD PLEASURE IN UNRIGHTEOUSNESS" (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 NKJV).

Because of the longing for the mundane, the person would inadvertently or unintentionally give a place to the devil, who comes with signs and lying wonders (2 Thessalonians 2:9). Such a person's mind would be closed against God and the gospel through which he or she was meant to be saved and delivered.
Gospel is usually veiled to those who have chosen the path of perdition or destruction, because of untamed craving. However, there is hope for whoever finds himself or herself in such a situation; their cases are not outrightly written off. God is still calling and beckoning to you If you find yourself in this snare of the devil; If you would renounce your allegiance to the devil and switch to the LORD. Take a step now, tomorrow might be too late:
1 WE THEN, AS WORKERS TOGETHER WITH HIM ALSO PLEAD WITH YOU NOT TO RECEIVE THE GRACE OF GOD IN VAIN. 2 For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” BEHOLD, NOW IS THE ACCEPTED TIME; BEHOLD, NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION" (2 Corinthians 6:1,2 NKJV).
