THE THIRD DAY: THE SEASON 0F REST 1

1 THEREFORE, SINCE A PROMISE REMAINS OF ENTERING HIS REST, LET US FEAR LEST ANY OF YOU SEEM TO HAVE COME SHORT OF IT.
2 FOR INDEED THE GOSPEL WAS PREACHED TO US AS WELL AS TO THEM; BUT THE WORD WHICH THEY HEARD DID NOT PROFIT THEM, NOT BEING MIXED WITH FAITH IN THOSE WHO HEARD IT.
3 FOR we who have BELIEVED DO ENTER THAT REST, AS He has said: "So I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter My rest, . . . . ' "
4 "AND GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS";
5 AND again in this place: "They shall not enter My rest."
6 SINCE THEREFORE IT REMAINS THAT SOME MUST ENTER IT, AND THOSE TO WHOM IT WAS FIRST PREACHED DID NOT ENTER BECAUSE OF DISOBEDIENCE [Unbelief],
7 "Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts."
8 FOR IF JOSHUA HAD GIVEN THEM REST, THEN HE WOULD NOT AFTERWARD HAVE SPOKEN OF ANOTHER DAY.
9 THERE REMAINS THEREFORE A REST FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD.
10 FOR HE WHO HAS ENTERED HIS REST HAS HIMSELF ALSO CEASED FROM HIS WORKS AS GOD DID FROM HIS.
11 LET US THEREFORE BE DILIGENT TO ENTER THAT REST, LEST ANYONE FALL ACCORDING TO THE SAME EXAMPLE OF DISOBEDIENCE."
Hebrews 4:1-11 (NKJV)

• God's promise of entering His rest still stands (Hebrews 4:9). The last Days' church is the finishing or concluding part of the Church of Jesus Christ.

• It is an enviable, a successful; powerful and colourful Church. This is not by physical strength, or smartness, but through the divine programme of God.
• The Israelites came out of Egypt not by their efforts, but through the divine agenda of God. It had been spoken that they would come out after they had spent four hundred years (Genesis 15:13,14).
• The possession or the gotten of the promised land was not by their strength: "FOR THEY DID NOT GAIN POSSESSION OF THE LAND BY THEIR OWN SWORD, NOR DID THEIR OWN ARM SAVE THEM; BUT IT WAS YOUR [God's] RIGHT HAND, YOUR ARM, AND THE LIGHT OF YOUR COUNTENANCE, BECAUSE YOU FAVOURED THEM" (Psalm 44:3 NKJV).

• The present Day Church.

• The believers now could be considered as those who were born at the due time.
• Whoever is in Christ now is divinely privileged to be alive at the time like this, when God is beautifying and distinguishing the Church of Christ (Malachi 4:1-3; Joel 2:1-10,23-25,28-32).
• The church of Christ today is characterized by wisdom, power, prosperity, and all round success (Joel 2:7-10).
• Prophetically, the church of Jesus Christ is in its third day; the time of the glorification of the church:
  1 COME, AND LET US RETURN TO THE LORD; FOR HE HAS TORN, BUT HE WILL HEAL US; HE HAS STRICKEN, BUT HE WILL BIND US UP. 2 AFTER TWO DAYS HE WILL REVIVE US; ON THE THIRD DAY HE WILL RAISE US UP, THAT WE MAY LIVE IN HIS SIGHT" (Hosea 6:1,2 NKJV).
• A day is like a thousand years in God's programme or calendar: "BUT YOU MUST NOT FORGET THIS ONE THING, DEAR FRIENDS: A DAY IS LIKE A THOUSAND YEARS TO THE LORD, AND A THOUSAND YEARS IS LIKE A DAY" (2 Peter 3:8 NLT).
• In God's sight, the church is in its third day. God is raising the church, the Body of Christ, now, according to that Scripture, Hosea 6:2.
• Jesus was born around 4BC, and we are in the 21st century, we have stepped into the third Day. A Day of manifestation and glorification!

• How to be part of the move of God.

• To be part of God's move in this third Day, the Day of rest; the Book, the Bible, had to be opened to you.
• Many are restless, looking for solutions to their problems where there is no help, because the Book is closed to them.
• And, as long as the Book remained closed, weeping and sorrowing continued (Revelation 5:4).
• The devil is having a field day in the lives of many, because the Book is closed to them.
  a. Their minds are blind, the message in the Book is not understood, and it does not mix with faith in them (Hebrews 4:2).
  b. They are ignorant of the rest which Christ Jesus has prepared for them (Hebrews 4:9).

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

• Healing is part of the redemption package, thus, If you are born-again, healing and healthiness are your portions. So whatever is against your health and wellness is cursed and uprooted totally in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
• You are made whole completely in Jesus' mighty name.

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
