Day 1 of Plein-Airpril - landscape painting with watercolour & gouache - Mount Everest/Himalayas
I painted this study from a photo of Mt. Everest. I haven't been to Mt. Everest myself, but I did visit Kathmandu in Nepal and I could see the Himalayan mountain range from the center. Close enough?
I discovered the PleinAirpril challenge (landscape painting every day during April) a bit late, so I'm hoping to get a few done before the end of the month and create a video of the process each time.
I think I'm going to have to dig into my travel photo archive to find some good scenes to paint. If you would like to suggest any, please go ahead.
