Well, it was time another plane entered the fray! Enjoy the some early footage of the Volantex Phoenix V2.
After I flew the maiden which wasn't recorded, I noticed some EXTREME nose up when full throttle was applied or high speeds were achieved through a dive, so I programmed some down elevator as a slave to the throttle. Bad decision! I was thankfully able to control her by keeping her under half throttle and landing (which is filmed). I removed that silly choice of mixing and she flew much better.
What I like:
- The SIZE!
- Gliding capability
- Extended flight time
- Stickers were NOT applied (so I left them off)
What I don't like:
- The SIZE (I have to pull it apart to fit in my tiny car)
- Before I changed the flap settings she took AGES to land.
- Heavy to hand launch

Favourite ClearView Aircraft: New favourites - MiG-15 and F-86 EDFs
Favourite ClearView flying site: Osage Park.
Current setup on the Phoenix:
Two settings of flaps (40 degrees and 80 degrees)
