The birds watering hole - Forsyth Lodge
The summer progresses here at Satpura. The intensity of the heat increases and moisture from the soil starts to decrease. The heavily burdened buffer forest by the cattle and the lopping of trees are unable to hold sufficient ground moisture. The streams go totally dry.
But small sources of water still exist in different forms. This is a short video compressed and edited to show what happens in an evening of about two hours at one such water source.
About 15 species of birds in different numbers come to quench their thirst along with insects such as the wasp and a squirrel too!
Water is so precious! But we all run behind the diamond and cars that depleted the resources that sustain life.
