1,900 Job Applications Later... Why This Man Ended Up Homeless, The Ai Storm Is Here

We really only have about 2 years at this point. Either you utilize the AI to become a super human version of yourself and do the work of 10 or 20 men or get replaced if you are doing most design, engineering, coding, or other computer related work. At that point there will be a few years for very manual labor. Plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing....etc. Someone in the comments said that women are going to get hit really hard with AI and I agree with this from multiple different angles. For one a lot of the work they are doing is ancillary and support rolls in the companies. When this economy tries to force them to compete in these manual labor trades it isn't going to be easy for them. I'm seeing videos coming out of China basically saying 700,000 tech workers have been layed off. A lot of these guys who are even in their 30s are being told they are too old. This is happening all over the world and the next couple of years is going to be brutal.

I have thought a lot about it as to what I would pivot to or what would change. Since I come from a technical background I feel I'm going to sort of benefit over the next couple of years and then that runway is going to be somewhat over and I still think I can position myself for coaching and teaching if need be and obviously still be working on the crypto related stuff. I think the United States is going to continue to lose the majority of it's manufacturing jobs. Even distribution is getting more and more automated. They are changing the racks in the distribution centers to have automated tracking systems so mechanized systems can retrieve the items.
