Don't Become A DTuber Without Watching This

I finally finished editing this video, second time lucky. I had already nearly finished it at first, but Davinci Resolve crashed on me. I hadn't saved the project so I lost the whole thing. I actually think the first edit was better, but hey, I'm glad I finally finished it.
In this video I talk about four things to think about if you want to go into full time video content creation. One of the points I talk about is editing. Most video content creators that do their own editing spend all day editing. That's the main activity, not the actual recording unlike what many people may believe.
I always tell people that ask me this. If you don't enjoy editing, and you don't have enough money to hire an editor, then you may not enjoy being a video content creator. The one exception is streaming. Streamers don't need to edit, as the video is going out live.
I personally love editing otherwise this video would not have happened. After losing the first edit to Davinci, I would have just given up.

The fact that it even takes up to 1000 subscribers to monetize my account is what makes me never never consider to be a YouTubers. Your points are very valid. Needless to say I won't be becoming one anytime soon .

Of course the best part of DTube is that you can monetize your content immediately! There is no need to jump through all the hoops like on YT! :)
Very nice recommendations for beginners. I agree completely. Creating video content seems easy but it is definitely not.
Interesting. And I have to say from my point of view having seen the birth and botox of Youtube so much has changed and while it has technically become easier than ever to make content of reasonable quality and cost, distributing that content and promoting it has become a massive challenge.
I am lucky in so much as I personally have no desire to be a vlogger or a video sort of person. I have considered podcasting but again my mind works too fast for a script really and I dunno if I could be consistently creative and consistently motivated to do it when I have other things to think about too.
Bottom line I appreciate anyone who puts the time and effort into putting something out there. So even if I don't gush over it I rarely criticise it either.
